My Story...
Timber Tactics & Design LLC is a custom woodworking venture in West Central Florida that creates unique woodcrafts for everyday life.
Born and raised in Dunedin, Florida, I have always been captivated by the natural environment and the desire to create. As a child, I would tinker around in the garage with my father's tools, building wooden creations that served no purpose but to satisfy my need to create. I would build tree forts and bicycle ramps out of whatever wood scraps I could find and even built a failed flying machine that, in my young mind, took me and my little brother around the world.
Eventually, my love for the outdoors, passion for building, and spirit of adventure led me to a nearly 20-year career with the Florida Forest Service as a wildland firefighter. My career as a wildland firefighter allowed me to be outdoors, dabble around in the shop, and travel across the country to experience Mother Nature at her best and worst. However, after a brief stint in local government, where I traded in my outdoor office for one with four walls, I realized I was not doing what truly made me happy.
Today, with the support of my wife and two kids, who have been the solid foundation and driving force behind everything I do, I am enjoying the creativity I had once found in woodworking and have returned to my outdoor office as a seasonal wildland firefighter.
